BECOME AN APPROVED CENTRE

Bring LAI to your school.

Becoming an approved LAI centre is how a school enters learners for LAI accredited programmes. It is straightforward, and it exists to protect the standard for everyone who holds it.

What an Approved centre means

What an Approved centre means

A centre’s approval shows that it can deliver and host assessments securely, fairly, and against clear published criteria. It is a mark in the school’s favour, one of the things that makes an LAI grade trustworthy.

THE APPROVAL PROCESS

THE APPROVAL PROCESS

The approval process, in practice.

The approval process, in practice.

Approval follows a clear sequence, with the requirements and decision made visible at every stage. LAI reviews the school, its assessment arrangements and the people responsible before learners are registered.

01

Apply

A digital centre application form captures the school’s details, the accredited programmes and subjects it intends to offer, and the people responsible.

02

Evidence

The school provides a short, defined evidence set so LAI can confirm it can deliver and host assessment securely.

03

Inspection / review

LAI reviews the application and evidence against published criteria, with a centre visit or remote review where needed.

04

Decision

Approval (with a centre number), approval with conditions, or a clear explanation if not yet ready.

05

Onboarding & training

Staff are onboarded through Nexus and prepared to deliver.

06

First registrations

The centre confirms readiness and enters its first learners.

Recognitions

The Recognition Standard.

LAI gives its own awards through programmes accredited by City & Guilds. LAI works with academic partners, including the University of Greenwich, for teacher training, professional development and capacity building at LAI-approved schools. LAI accredited programmes hold IBCC equivalency in Pakistan, and an ECCTIS review is in progress. Recognition varies by country, institution, programme and applicant profile. See Recognition & Benchmarking for detail by market.
